About Us
Believe In You, a STEM focused non-profit based in Los Angeles CA, creates customized, data-driven after-school enrichment curricula and youth programs focused on historically underserved areas to accelerate their preparation for college and beyond.
We Know
LAUSD students struggle to meet grade-level standards in Math and English and we are standing up to turn that struggle into more than meeting a grade-level standard.
As believers in the power of youth, we take our commitment seriously.
How We Do This
We create customized and tailored STEM focused curriculum to move students beyond grade-level standards in Math.
Whether through programs we execute or through developing curriculm through our services, we utilize the idea of turning reality and practicality that allows for youth to learn Science, Math and other STEM subjects including the use of technology and engineering concepts.
We know doing this will also increase the following for our youth:
- Curiousity
- Imagination
- Flexibility
- Inventiveness
- Persistence
Our STEM curriculm direction is in support of the North American Association for Environmental Education's recommendation that children should be engaged in STEM education early in their educational trajectory.
Why
We believe championing youth is more than achieving grade-level standards, we see this commitment to them prepares them for college and beyond. Doing so, creates our country's next scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and technologists.
Stand With Us
STEAM-Learning Emphasis
We want to enhance the learning experience with educational opportunities using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). By utilizing these tools and modern technologies as a platform for learning-based materials such as apps and the use of various devices to offer engaging and interactive guidance, we are catering to the fast-paced and very technologically-driven time we live in. These tools can accelerate the learning process through hands-on interactive experiences. We want to influence the youth of our community to engage in these activities as a positive, forward-thinking approach to learning.
A Family-oriented Place of Learning and Growing
This is a place of learning and growing. The services we share with others are services provided to individuals of this community; individuals with friends and family. We want to create an environment that feels like home; a safe place that is good for learning and welcomes everyone. It's important that we are able to create a space that allows us to all be open and feel like we are one big family.
